EllisDon and Coco Paving (EDCO) has been selected by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to design, build and finance the QEW / Credit River Improvement project under a Public Private Partnership (P3).

This Project is being completed through a Design-Build, Finance project delivery model. Under this model, detail design and construction can occur simultaneously as components of the Project advance and environmental clearances are issued.

For a description of the EA Process for the Detail Design and Construction of the Project, see the Environmental Assessment page.

The preliminary design for the Project was previously completed in 2013 and the current detail design and construction is following the approved planning process for a Group ‘B’ project under the MTO Class EA for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000). More information on the Class EA process and previous studies can be found on the Environmental Assessment page.
